Our overall goal is to combine a variety of experimental and theoretical
approaches to find general principles that help to explain the structure, behavior
and evolution of cells and organisms. Our faculty and Fellows span a wide
range of disciplines, including biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics,
computer science, and engineering. We are the home of the Bauer
Fellows program, the Bauer
Core facilities, and
faculty belonging to departments in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. We
are part of a university-wide initiative in systems biology, which also
comprises the PhD
program in Systems Biology and
the Department
of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School. The Center is also one of the NIGMS National Centers of Systems Biology. and part of the NSF Physics of Living Systems graduate student Research Network.
